OvertimePulse2026 Edition
US Wage & Overtime Calculator
Our Mission & Methodology

About OvertimePulse

Empowering American hourly workers, shift workers, and independent contractors with lightning-fast, zero-cost, and completely private paycheck transparency.

Who We Are

OvertimePulse was founded by an independent team of software engineers and financial tool builders who noticed a recurring problem: existing wage and overtime calculators on the web were bloated with slow trackers, intrusive pop-up ads, and invasive requests for personal contact details. We set out to build an ultra-clean, Apple-grade, browser-native calculation tool that respects user privacy and runs instantly.

Our Data Sources & Mathematical Rigor

Every formula deployed across OvertimePulse.com is strictly benchmarked against official federal and state statutory labor frameworks:

  • US Department of Labor (DOL): Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA, 29 U.S.C. § 207) 40-hour workweek standard.
  • California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR): California Labor Code § 510 provisions for daily overtime and double-time.
  • Internal Revenue Service (IRS): Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA, 26 U.S.C. § 3101) statutory rates (6.2% Social Security + 1.45% Medicare).
  • Individual State Labor Commissioners: Regular verification of state minimum wage statutes across all 50 US jurisdictions.
